YAM 2016-2017 Flag CompetitionSchools throughout the U.S. are holding flag design competitions. Each state will select a design, which will be made into a flag and flown with flags representing all states during March, which is celebrated as Youth Art Month.
Entries should be in color, contain a theme that is representative of Indiana and art, have the YAM logo included in the design. Each flag should be mounted on individual pieces of foam board This year’s competition is again open to AEAI members with students in grades K-12 but each teacher may only submit four flags per school that they teach. AEAI members should either bring their flags to annual AEAI Convention or send them to: YAM Coordinator by October 4, 2013 Teachers attending the convention will judge the flags. The art teacher with the winning design will be responsible for manufacturing the flag with our guidance. |
